Hi There!
I'm Scott Powell....The Ring Leader For The Morning Crew on KMZU. I say Ring Leader, because usually what goes on when the Microphones go off is like a circus! I start my day like you....with some really great people! Chasity Anderson, Rod Tompkins, Nathan Stuedle. I'm just the guy who makes the coffee, gives them the count down to show time, then pushes their Buttons...literally! I have the Best Job in the world! I get paid to work with my friends, listen to music, and drink all the free coffee I want! Who could ask for anything more!?! I guess there is one thing more....
THAT YOU MAKE US A PART OF YOUR MORNING!!!!!
PLEEEEZE!
We Need The Work!
Updated 10/14/09
I'm from Newburgh, Indiana originally.
I graduated from Castle High School went on to study Communications at the University of Evansville. While at UofE I worked at the College Radio Station WUEV-FM
I spent some time working for WROZ-AM and WYNG-FM BOTH IN Evansville before moving to Madisonville, Kentucky to do Mid-days for WFMW-AM in 1986.
I came to KMZU the first time in 1989. I left in 1995 to see what it was like to have a real job!
In 2001 I was invited back to KMZU. Iv'e been spending my mornings with you ever since!
I have no advertising on my site at this time. If you think your target audience is my family, the few people I call friends, and the 8 or 9 people who admit they listen to me every morning....then get ahold of me. I'm sure we could work something out!

1 For A Reason!
for years now, you have heard us say this.
But what does it really mean?
What is the reason?
The reason we are Number One in Our Coverage Area AND the State Of Missouri in Stations that Do what We do is
YOU
THAT'S RIGHT!
OUR LOYAL LISTENER!
How Do We Know This?
Every two years, Ag Media Research does a Survey on Agricultural Radio Listenership. Every Time this survey is released to what I call "Agriculture Driven Radio Stations"... KMZU TOPS THE LIST here at home and in the State of Missouri! The Station that more Producers tune to for information and hopefully some entertainment.
The recent "Ratings" by AMR have been released, and according to the Numbers, More of You have chosen to spend time listening to "The Farm" than any other station in the area. And to top it off "The Farm" tops all the Numbers of any other radio station in the State of Missouri!!!
